went to watch the girls finals today at jalan besar with some of the girls. vj won, no surprises there. but after seeing the 4 teams play, i feel really sad for sa and tj. sa cos they are really really good. its a pity they lost on penalties. and tj cos i really admire them, being underdogs and all. i felt really upset when the final whistle blew for them. it felt like the last match we played over again, though the feelings were less intense. seeing vj celebrate and tj walking off the field dejected, made me think of the chi phrase, 'sheng zhe wei wang, bai zhe wei kou'/ winner takes all. a good match for finals nonetheless. i wonder, will we see ourselves there next year too?

today i was discussing with yao about sports day in general. and i realised i've never been to any sn sports day other than the one this year on her birthday, and none of nj's too. talk about school loyalty. but i am pretty attached to nj no matter how anti-nj i may seem to be.
the fall from a pedestal is more painful than it seems to you. will you catch me when i do?
