THANK YOU TEACHERS! (esp Mr Goh, Mr Ang, Mr Tan, Mrs Fong, Miss Chan, Sun Lao Shi, Miss Low, Miss Koh,etc)
i really cant thank mr goh enough. today the IP teachers called us for a short meeting at lt2. mrgoh was talking abt how this year has flown past and stuff. it was real touching and he was so close to tears.. and he said he wasnt going to be teaching us next year anymore. he'll be going down to IP1, instead of us. so yepps. felt pretty upset by it.
after that he showed us a photoslide on all the photos he had collated abt the IP this past one year, from the induction to orientation to the work and projects we had, to finally today. although the whole lt was cheering for everyone they saw in the photos, me included, i just felt this sudden and overwhelming sense of gratitude, relief and abit of melancholy.
i know the IP teachers didnt have a gdtime this year. in fact, their year could have been worse than us students. what with all the planning and stuffs, being a pioneer batch. therefore i'm really grateful to them as they've really made differences in our lives. REALLY. i dont think i can really thank them enough.
this year, as the pioneer batch of NJIP is finally over. lots of sweats and tears went into all our projects and works. staying up during the nights, rushing to meet deadlines, staying over at friends' hses for projects, mugging for tests, staying back for CCA,etc. so many many more to say. but no words to describe everything. the exhilaration when we've finally completed a whole week of torture and moved on to the next. the disappointment when you receive results which were not up to our expectations. the anger at teachers when they dole out more work on our mounting hills of work. the relief when the project(SPIRE) is finally over and done with. the happiness of getting back your essays with a decent grade. so many memories. so many reminisence. so many hugs. tears. sweat. emotions. perserverance. determination to make everything right.
today is the official last sku day we have for the year as the pioneer batch of NJIP. the last day we have lessons as an individual cohort in NJ. the last time, our cohort will be addressed as IP. the last..
i have discovered, in the course of the year, that many teachers, students, and people, have left and joined.. people like mr dane lim, mrs imelda stockcroft, mr yip meng fai have all left. mr brian ang is next. he has been a great teacher, a humourous mentor, an efficient IP HOD. he was my class' mentor, my IH teacher for the most part of the year, our regular feedback channel for IP stuffs. now he's going away. to RJ. why is it always raffles? mryip went to RI and now mrang is going to RJ. arent the people here, the IP he had had a hand in building up, the memories with the IP enough to keep him here?
i really dont want to see him go. but maybe its for the better. he could concentrate on what he was supposed to be specialising in and maybe, produce better results there. i cant say this for the whole IP cohort, but im pretty sure that we WILL miss him. his jolly round figure coming in the lecture, suihang's "yoyo brian", him teasing jeremy's lame pick up lines, circulating IP rumours around, and starting a few himself.
ohmann. i cant believe that this is what has the year come down to. but in a sense, i can. this year was one of the most horrible years in my life, but it was also one of the most beautiful years. i made new friends, kept my old, caught up with dying friends, found what i wanted, loved someone i cherish. im sure no one will believe me if i said i was tearing during mrgoh's speech and his photoslide, and mrang's announcement of his departure. im not the type to cry that easily, to many people. but maybe i just wanted to let my emotions run free for a while, and remember all the beautiful memories in my head. this year has given me too much, and i have let go of many things too. in a way, i have sort of found what i am, and yet, i know there's so much more to discover.
i made many wrong and uninformed choices this year, but many right ones too. wei, thankyou for always staying by my side and always believing in me when i said i couldnt. for putting up with my moodswings and my 'xiang tai duo-ing'. for giving me reassuring hugs when i felt i was breaking apart. and for loving me back with all you could. i'll wait, i've always been waiting, and i won't leave even till the sun goes down.
DC-ers, thank you for being my pillar of support in class. many things have happened to me where only a few people know of. you guys are the absolute best i can ever have. thanks for giving me advice and always providing a listening ear when i need it. thank girls for the daily postcards to ward off the boredom in class. and hearing me complain of my non-existant social life. hahah! hugs all of you
THEfam, all 6 of us have stood by each other time and time again. though the friendship we have has changed somewhat due to the physical distance between us, i know all of us are still as close as we have been. we have come so far this year, being apart and all, and i just want to thank anyone who will listen for giving you 5angels to me. i hold you girls close to my heart, tightly.
04IP04, though we have as a class, split into groups and cliques and such, i feel that we have qte a gd class spirit still. who can deny missing jeremy in class? hahah for all his nonsensical talks, lame crappy jokes and 'all-powerful' IT skills. this class has swept me off my feet, and you people tgt are one class i'll never forget. =) look over there! where?! its a bird! where?! its a plane! where?! ITS 04IP04!!!

i really cherish all these people i know, and everyone else. the teachers, miss chan esp. she made such a great impact on me after giving me that private talk that i really did buck up on my studies. im really and truly thankful to her. thanks miss chan.
and a big THANK YOU to NJIP'04. we have all come a long way this year as a closeknitted big extended 'family'. without you people, i scarcely bear to think how this year would have been. thanks again! i really love you people.
